I offer the following transfer services. Please email me for an appointment (I schedule appointments 3-4 days out--same day appointments are not available).
Dealer Transfers (firearms shipped to me from individuals or dealers)
- Long guns: $60 (includes $25 DROS* fee)
- Handguns, including exempt pistols/revolvers: $70 (includes $25 DROS* fee)
- Additional long guns: $10 per. (cannot be combined with handgun transfers)
- Transfers of LMT, Stag, Daniel Defense, Vector Arms, and LWRC firearms: $85 (includes $25 DROS* fee)
- $5 discount on above fees for all law enforcement and active duty military personnel.
- $30 Single Shot Exempt (SSE) conversion fee for Gen4 glocks, Springfield XDm's, Sig 226's and 1911's only (no other SSE conversions available at this time).
Sales Tax
The California Bureau of Equalization (BOE) is requiring firearm dealers to collect sales tax on all firearm transfers from another firearms dealer. Unless you pay sales tax to that dealer and provide evidence of the tax payment to me, a sales tax rate of 8.25% will be added to the purchase price of your firearm. Sorry, but that is the law. Please read the attached letter from the State for more information: Sales Tax Info.
Private Party Transfers (In-person firearm transfers between individuals): $35 (includes DROS* fee)
Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) Test: $25 (A current HSC is required for all handgun purchases in California)
Storage Fee: Unless prior arrangements have been made, a storage fee of $20 per gun per week will be added to the cost of the transfer after it has been in my possession for over 30 days.
Who I will accept transfers from: I will gladly accept transfers from major online retailers including Riflegear, Buds Gun Shop, Grab a Gun, Jet Guns, JG Sales, Impact guns, DD's Ranch, OC Armory, New Frontier Armory, and others. However, if the shop is not listed here or if you are buying from a private party, please ask me first. Not all retailers/sellers are created equal and there are some folks I will not accept a transfer from.

Note: *DROS (Dealer Record of Sale)= State of California fee for recording firearms sales. |
